During the year end holiday, we decided to drive to KL for a weekend trip.
First stop was Yong Peng, the usual shop for lunch was not open yet (12:30pm?) We decided to go eat at a different place selling roast meat, but it was not every good. We will stick to noodles when in Yong Peng next time.
When in KL, we had nice Thai food for lunch in Mid Valley Mega Mall.
The hotel breakfast was very good but we always go down so late that the good stuff has finished. The roti canai was all gone by the time we go for breakfast a 10am!
For this trip, we decided to visit a small town nearby call Bentong. On the way there, we passed by a very special wooden building. There is also a tea restaurant inside, and the vegetarian rice bowl was delicious, the tea based soup was very nice to drink compare to other places !
When in Bentong, we tried some durian, but we were too busy eating and did not take any picture. The musang king durian from Bentong is one of the best in Malaysia. There is a shop that sells ice cream for desert but the shop was too crowed, so we did not go.
We bought some vegetable on the way to Bentong because the market is just below Genting Highland. They looked very fresh.
On one of the nights, we had dinner at a Chinese restaurant near the hotel. We have been there before previously and we know it will be crowded. And indeed, we waited for more than 30 mins for our food to come. It was a very nice meal.
On the way back to JB, 爷爷 told us to go for a Dim Sum restaurant just next to the North South Highway, we had a nice Dim Sum lunch and we did not have to make any detour. Will definitely go back there again next time.
