The next morning, we really took our time to go for breakfast. XN and DH wanted to feed the fishes in the lobby area at about 10:30am. But when the time came, the fishes were not interested in the fish food anymore. May be they have already taken their breakfast. Luckily, Grandpa and Grandma found a nice place for breakfast next to the hotel. So we decided to go there and take a look since we were already down at the lobby.
The hotel had a video game area where DH got drawn to sit there looking at the other children playing street fighter on the Xbox 360.
The shop for breakfast sells roti canai, the roti was very thin and soft. Very nice roti to eat, but the let down was the watered down dhal and curry source. The tea was also thin but acceptable. Since the morning weather was not too warm it was a very relaxing place to eat outdoors.
This was the rare occasion where DH decided to pose for the picture. He just had an entire roti with caster sugar. The roti was the secondary item, his primary love was for the caster sugar. Even after the roti was finished, he was still looking for more sugar.
A flower shop nearby had a strange tree decorated with light bulbs and silver balls. It was suppose to be an ultra modern Christmas tree. The light bulbs were not wired up to be lit at night, so it should look better in the day.
Next to the light bulb tree, were more arty decor with mini butterflies and some twigs.

XN and DH is always looking forward to taking the mono rail. So, we made our way to the nearby station. We took the train to the Bukit Bintang area for dinner.
We went to the food court under Lot 10 for dinner. The food was fantastic! It was more expensive, but consider it gathered a lot of good food around the KL area, it is worth the price.
We sampled the noodles, porridge and dessert. We also bought some 油条, it was by far the best we have tasted in a food court. Highly recommended.
For XN and DH, dessert means they also get one lolly pop each. Strawberry flavour is their current favourite.

Finally, we reached the hotel after the usual KL traffic jam at Bukit Bintang area. It was a gruelling 5 hours plus drive.
We went to walk around the pool area after a short rest. The weather was cloudy, so it was not too hot. DH and XN ran all other the place, jumped up and down the chairs. The place has large wide open area and also many low obstacles which made it looked like a mini play ground.
Eventually, XN did went a short swim. The pool stretched down for about 30 meters in length and only 1.4m deep. So it was quite safe to wonder around the pool.
It was the Christmas season in December. The hotel has put up a huge Christmas tree, it was not finished yet as we still see workers putting up the finishing touches on the tree late in the evening.

We went to KL this weekend to attend a wedding dinner. We stopped by Yong Peng for the famous noodles. The usual shop is not open yet, so we stopped by another shop. It was equally famous and we saw a lot of photos of famous people eating there. It tasted really good.
Lucky for us, we went there early and our food came after a short wait. When we are eating, many groups of people started to arrive at the restaurant. There were even cars from Singapore. It was good to have early lunch.
After lunch, it was back on the road.

It is December again! And time to put up the Christmas tree. This year DH is able to help out with the decorations. Although he can only reach the lower branches of the tree, he is very enthusiastic about it. XN took over after a while because DH has to go to bed already.

We went to a birthday party this evening. Grandpa and Grandma went too. There was a clown at the party, a real clown. DH and XN took back many ballon swords and flowers. DH does not know what is a clown, so he called him a 鞋人 because of the large shoe the clown is wearing.

Went to the Botanic Gardern to attend a wedding dinner. It is an evening event which is very special. This is the first time we have ever been to the Garden at night!
The location is next to the Halia restaurant which looks very different at night as compared to during day time.
The garden's water fall and plants make it a wonderful place for a stroll at night.

Went to the Zoo this weekend. The chance of rain was always there. But that also meant the weather was not too hot. There were also less people this time, not sure if it is because of the school holidays are going to start soon so people are holding back or due to the high chance of rain due to the recent weather.
This time we try to make it a point to see some shows which we always missed on previous trips. The elephant show starts at 11:30am. DH has been reading Noah's Ark as his bedtime stories. So he likes to call out the names of all the different animals in the book. The elephant is his favorite. Perhaps its big size makes it stands out among the other animals, so he notice it more.
The show is very entertaining. We sat in the front rows during performance and we even got wet when the elephants spay us with clean water using their nooses.
These elephant are all female and they are very strong! DH likes them very much.
After that, it was to another show "The rain forest fights back". Since this is a performance about protecting the environment, the children are less interested on its more grown-up story line.
There are numerous elephants statues all along the park with different decor. It is the theme of the month.

Last weekend, we went do McD for breakfast.
The McD at AMK garden has a playground near by and many people are there for the weekend breakfast.
The playground has a big sand pit with lots of playing equipment which are fantastic! XN and DH has a lot of fun.
After that, it was lunch at a baby full moon party. The new baby looks very cute. DH and XN even had shower at the baby house since they sweat so much at the playground.
