The school holiday is almost coming to an end and we decided to visit the local zoo for a change.

The children were very excited as usual and they can't wait to get in.

The local zoo gave us a closer feel to the animals.

There were the very popular "feed the animals" sessions which in this case were the camels. They loved to eat their vegetables.

The price to feed the camel was very affordable. The children had a great time.

Unfortunately, all the tigers were shot before we arrived....... wait a minute......oh, they were just sleeping under the tree.

The sun bears were more lively than the other animals. The other animals were mostly sleeping due to the heat.

There was a pony ride and the pony was very friendly.

We had a great morning at the zoo. After that we went for lunch and the children continue to play till late. Really wonder how they can have the energy to play continuously like that?

It was the start of the school holiday. We went to stay in Lego Land Hotel!

The lobby had a lot of Lego brick models and lots and small bricks around for the children to play with.

The children were really enjoying themselves because this was the first time there were so many bricks to play with. Even though all the bricks were the typical rectangular type, there were so many of them it was possible to create anything you want if you have the patience to build it.

DH  had a great time running around the lobby area.

We took a pirate theme room for the night.

The children had their own sleep area with 3 beds and their own TV too!

There was also a puzzle wall.

The most interesting part was the safe in the room which the children had to find all the clues around the room for the lock combination to unlock the safe and see the surprises inside safe.

Even the toiletries were Lego themed! 

At the hotel, there was a daily Lego building competition. For this month, the theme was birthday cake. And guess what, We WON!

Today is Malaysia Merdeka Day. We went to a have buffet lunch at a hotel.

DH and XN have been there many times before with the grand parents, but this is the first time we went together with them.

This time, there were also many other grand aunties and uncles with us too!

This morning, DH was doing 「打老虎」行动。

The costume is made up of blankets, cricket empire hat, clips and a shopping bag.

Its just too silly to say anything else..... :)

 June is XN's birthday month. She has requested to decorate & design her own birthday cake, so we went to a cake shop - pick a cake, choose the toppings and whipped cream of your choice! (and pay)

 She was carefully decorating the cake and she really enjoyed the process.

 da-dah! The end product...it's yummy too!

 After that, it is buying present time!

XN chose her own birthday present, her all time favourite - Lego set!

De Hao also get to buy a toy, he is equally happy on jie jie's birthday!

Spending the Sunday afternoon at the cafe celebrating grand aunt's birthday - eat, drink and chit chat! :)

Favourite past time - fish feeding (other than iPad)

DH celebrated his 5th year old birthday with his class in school. He selected a Lightning McQueen cake for this year, all friends were excited about the cake.
