Our 2nd Stop of the Day! 

 Forgot the name of this place we went, it was also by the mountains and amazingly it was located within a housing estate. Could not have located it without GPS! 

We enjoyed the 山and the 水here, Ipoh is truly full of mountains, however, we didn't come quite at the right time, it was very hazy。。。 III

 Dare not enter the cave, scared of snakes...

There are the popular paintings on the rocks as well

The animals are roaming around, feel free to buy RM2 food to feed them.

More fun with cousins!

We made a lot of rounds in this tricycle FOC. If in Melaka, we would have to pay RM25 per trip, Ipoh is much cheaper than Melaka indeed. =)

XN invited her classmates for a playdate during school holidays. This is her first and they totally enjoyed it! She wishes for another one again in Christmas...










DH invited his friend over too... The boys played very different games from the girls, but thankfully, no fight between them, :)

It rained for awhile but it didn't dampen the mood of the gang, they went swimming still despite the cold weather and water, had lots of fun too~ 

Say cheese!

XN just finish cooking the mini pizza set. It was given to her sometime ago from 姑姑. She was busy with her exams for the past few weeks and does not have time to play with it until today.

It is Grandpa's birthday. We had a wonderful cheese cake and the children enjoyed it. They also liked to light the candles on the cake. DH only knows how to light 1 candle with with 1 match at a time. He said he is afraid of the fire!

XN is in school in the morning and DH was playing with his baby cousin.

They get along very well!

Enjoying dim sum, mingling with "cute animals" in shopping centre on the 3rd day, that's definitely one of the reasons why we were in the capital of the country!

Breakfast before we headed off to Sekijang.

Then after 2.5 hours drive, we finally reached our destination. It was a sunny day and we came at the right time - it is the harvesting season so we got to see the padi field and machines working in the field. 

 We even went into the "field" to get a real field of what it was like, it was actually quite rough and we could see the "rice". This is really worth the trip. Before we left, we bought a few packets of the locally produced rice to try.

Apparently Sekijang is also by the sea, so we popped by to have lunch. It was such a nice weather, there were groups of students playing kites and bubbles and games! We had a try on flying kites too~

The Rice Factory

It's June holidays again! This time, we had local sightseeing trip, it is recommended by our neighbor who visited last year - Sekijang.

 Checked into our favorite hotel to rest first before heading to dinner.

Dinner at Jalan Petaling Street, which was not too far away from our hotel. We had to walked past the many stalls crowded with patrons and it was drizzling. The stalls owners are mostly foreigners now instead of local boss, it feels a bit weird.

 The Big Bad Wolf book fair is back again!

 As usual there were a lot of people on a Saturday morning. We only spent about an hour at the fair but had a lot of good deals for the books. 

Rewarding ourselves with Japanese set lunch after that - all time favourite

This is the family bonding time on a Saturday :) 

DH and Andreas went for a walk in the park on Sunday morning, they enjoyed the playground, feeding the fish and even jumping over the rocks in the small river. 

Celebrated grandma's birthday with dinner at a local hotel restaurant. A US MNC was having annual D&D in the same hotel too, HQ and DH took the chance to take a photo at its giant backdrop.
