This year, we had the first bean boozled challenge with XN and DH. Everyone had so much fun trying not to choose the "wrong beans" and the funny expression when they actually chewed the craziest flavors that could have... We will try it again next year!

Attended a wedding lunch on Sunday, it was at a school hall and many people attended the function, it was beautifully decorated.
Our door gifts.
Such a cute mini ice cream!

Lots of Malay food being served at the buffet lunch

There was an ice-cream kiosk at the entrance and the kids (& adults) kept going back for it!

How can we go Ipoh without trying the famous chicken rice?
Mid Autumn Festival around the corner, can see vendors selling big and small pomelos, we bought 2 XXL size ones

Dried flowers to make floral tea
So excited to see the many many traditional lanterns at one of the old shops, we bought many many of them! 你喜欢哪一个?
满载而归 :-)

Lantern exhibition in the mall, some are made from recycled materials.
Aren't they lovely?

Next day was spent at The Lost World of Tambum, it was a combination of water park and theme park, it was also built by the mountains - amazing! We spent more half day at the park, DH liked it so much.
We had lunch on the way back to Ipoh town, stopped by a restaurant which was also a bungalow house, the furniture inside was all made of woods. Nice ambiance, special food but a bit pricey for Ipoh standard.

This September school holidays, we opted for a local tour, to a far far away city in the North - Ipoh, Perak! This is the second time we came, but still there were so many things to see & food to eat.
First Stop - after driving 6 hours straight to Ipoh, only to realize that the Gua was closed for renovation! The website didn't tell me so! :(
We could only enjoy the scenary at the entrance, though it was a humid and hazy day, still feeling amazed when standing by the huge forest and tall mountains.
We will come back again when it is reopen to the public, though we don't know when...

Take some pictures, 到此一游!:)

Our 2nd Stop of the Day!
Forgot the name of this place we went, it was also by the mountains and amazingly it was located within a housing estate. Could not have located it without GPS!
We enjoyed the 山and the 水here, Ipoh is truly full of mountains, however, we didn't come quite at the right time, it was very hazy。。。 III

Dare not enter the cave, scared of snakes...
There are the popular paintings on the rocks as well

The animals are roaming around, feel free to buy RM2 food to feed them.

Taking a break at the street cafe...休息是为了可以玩更久!

More fun with cousins!

We made a lot of rounds in this tricycle FOC. If in Melaka, we would have to pay RM25 per trip, Ipoh is much cheaper than Melaka indeed. =)
