We celebrated 姑姑 birthday this evening with a home made cake! The cake was not too dry. Baked 40mins at 180 degrees Celsius in our microwave oven works perfectly.

During the 2nd day of CNY, we went to visit a playground when visiting some of our relatives and friends. It was fun!

We celebrated with Janice for her 1 year old birthday at Mei Shan restaurant. Always good to have a reason for gathering with relatives.

 DH got his first set of big LEGO set as Christmas present and built it by himself, he is starting to get interested in building big LEGO items. 

 Not working today and decided to prepare big breakfast for everyone, the presentation not bad right? We finished everything in 15mins.

We went to the West Coast Park after breakfast, it is their favorite park because of many facilities. This time, they even made friend with Ethan, an eight old boy from JB also! They talked for half an hour sitting on top! 

 Chanced upon these beautiful parrots too in the park, the feathers were really nice.

Shopped in town after lunch, everywhere was post Christmas SALE! This is the tall Christmas tree in Takashimaya.

XN and DH are with baby cousin this weekend!

Went to the 1st day member preview of the annual popular book fair. DH only found some of the books interesting. He was more interested in the toys on display.

They are teacher's little helpers during the PTC - parents teacher conference. 

The school year has finally come to an end, luckily she enjoyed this year as good as the past and DH adapted quite well in his first primary school year as well. 

I am glad she met a good teacher this year. Hopefully both of them will have a good form teachers in 2017!

XN has some interest in Chinese calligraphy. Since Grandma also likes to practice, hope she can learn from Grandma and improve further.

We followed a cup cake recipe and the result were delicious! The icing on top was just sugar and butter mixed together and beaten for 10 mins, it was simple and nice. Mom was a bit disappointed that we did not make more for her to try! :)

 School celebrated Children's Day after the year end exam, XN and DH were so excited about the event. We helped to bring food and prepare goodie bags for their friends.

So much food to choose from, I remember I enjoyed this day very much too when I was in my primary school, always a day to look forward to in the year.

 They watched movies in the classroom after the feast. Everyone was so attentive and looked frightened, maybe it's a horror movie???

 School celebrated Children's Day after final exam in October. Everyone was in high spirit on this favorite day of the school calendar.

 Lots of food prepared by the students. This year, we brought pizza and it was well received! :)

XN also prepared some goodie bags for her friends.

Hope the children will always enjoy and have sweet memories of their school days in years to come.

The swimming pool is under maintenance. Something very rare indeed. The pool is only half full, XN and DH have been very interested to go look at the half full pool every day.

They can even go into the baby pool without getting wet!
