Saturday morning is the perfect time for some home cook breakfast. Some simple picnic ham, mushroom, eggs (various styles), served with cucumber and tomatoes at the side with Corn Prep. It is good way to start the weekend with a colourful breakfast.

During Grandpa's birthday this month, cooks a wonderful dinner for all of us. There are beef steak and also pan fried chicken, together with corn and potatoes. The cheese cake from Secret Recipe is also very good. Although small baby is still too young to sing the birthday song, he was also enjoying every one's attention.

Our highlight for the night is - Singapore Night Safari! I have been telling them we are going to the zoo and they were very co-operative throughout the day then, they even had a nap in the afternoon which is usually impossible when all 3 are together. We almost couldn't make it because of the causeway jam at Woodlands, luckily traffic was smooth again after dinner and by the time we reached the safari, it was already 9pm, that did not deter us from enjoying the fun in the zoo though. There were so many people in the zoo, 90% were tourist, Indians, Japanese, Americans... you name it, they have it. We tried the animal show twice but to our disappointment, they were both full house when we reached the theatre, hence alternatively, we walked atround the zoo, no joke, it took us 1hr plus (abt 3.5KM according to the map) to complete the route. By the time we finished, HQ and XN were so tired that they kept fighting to sit on the pram! Conclusion is the tram ride was much more comfortable! Tung Tung, Hai Qi and XN HQ and uncle Finally at the zoo exit near mid-night, can you tell that we were all tired? It was a fun trip with the kids, I am now considering to join Friends of the Zoo, then I can go more often! More photos coming up...

We did not take many photos of the animals because the presentator kept reminding us that no flash should be used. The food looked and smelled delisous on the way into the safari, shall try it next time. Pots and pans can make nice music too - just like what Barney always says - use your imagination!

XN's cousins from KL came back again last weekend and one of the activities they had together in the afternoon was this sand art thingy. I bought them from Carrefour and thought they might be interested. True enough, all of them were excited when they had to peel off the sticker one by one, pour the sand on it and see the colourful result immediately, this can keep them entertained for at least an hour (but be prepared that the extra sand will be everywhere so it is better to play outdoor). This piece of art work is by XN, look at the eyes, they are in different colours! Among the 3, the prettiest is the one done by the eldest cousin Tung Tung, but a pity that I forgot to take a picture of it.
We were sending grand aunty off at the airport last Tuesday at the Changi Airport. How time flies, she came in mid June and after 5 weeks of vacation in JB, she is going back to Taipei again. Wonder when will she come back to her home town again? Have only been to T3 a few times, it is big but not as many people as T2. It is also having promotion to encourage shopping now - absorbing 7% GST at all shops and for passenger who are departing at this terminal, there is an additional $5 voucher to discount for any merchandise you spend over $20. Of course I have to 响应 this and I bought a pair of white pants for XN.:) There was still some time after check in so we had tea and bread at Ya-Kun kopitiam, the food is so-so only. I still prefer Sweet Home at Pelangi.
Daddy took a day off so we went shopping at Orchard! Lunch was at Nanbantei in Far East Plaza. It is so popular that even we reached at 1pm, we had to wait for 30mins before we had a seat but it was worth the wait - food was yummy and set lunch is much cheaper than a-la-carte dinner. Look at the amounf of food we ordered on the table, XN could easily finished a bowl of rice with chicken balls and sea weed.

DH likes to smile when we are playing with him. When he is smiling with his mouth wide open, he also makes happy laughing noises.

XN always want to hug DH. Now that he is bigger and has stronger neck muscles, she is able to hold him better than before.
