In the evening, we went to have the famous 芽菜雞. It was very very crowded, but we managed to find a place.
The 芽菜 is very crunchy. There is no where else in the country that can produce 芽菜 with this taste. May be it is the water from the Ipoh mountains that makes all the difference.
XN finished all her portion of 河粉. She wants to take a picture to show 大舅舅.
This is the most famous shop in the area!

After lunch, XN went to aunty's house to play while we went to Jusco to take a look. Aunty took XN to her friend's shop which later we went to pick XN. The shop happens to be just next to Jusco!
DH now likes to play with everyone, including taking down all the decorations in the shops.
Later in the evening, we went back to the Hotel to prepare for dinner.
Ipoh is surrounded by tall mountains. The scenery around the area is very beautiful and very different from what we see at home which is near the sea.
From the hotel room we can see the Ipoh turf club. There are horses practicing in the morning. DH and XN is very much interested to see the horses walking around their stable.During breakfast, the food is very surprisingly nice. DH wakes up early and they already went down with grandma for the 1st round of breakfast. By the time XN is up it is already close to 9am.
The breakfast area has a big fish pond and we can also see every floor!
We took our time to have breakfast so that it is very relaxing. Anyway, we did not really plan to go site seeing so early.

We have set up the Christmas tree again! This year, it took us 3 days because of the lack of decor items and we have to buy new stocks - the theme this year is red and silver. Nice?
In addition to the 6ft tall tree, there is also a mini tree so we have 2! XN was enjoying the entire process while luckily DH is not destroying the tree by pulling down those decor, he was throwing the balls to the floor when we were putting up the tree but he thought those were real balls. The Christmas card is hand made by XN in school.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone who reads this blog and have a Blessed Christmas and Great New Year ahead!

Went to 五福城 again for dinner during the weekend. DH just love running around the big open area and looks very excited as usual.
XN must have learnt how to make all these funny faces from school. Very sure no one from home teached her.
XN is also enjoying herself with what ever is available to her as a toy.

We had a mini gathering during the weekend to celebrate the mid autumn festival. There is good food and good location.
After dinner all the children walked around the compound with their lanterns.
Everyone had a lantern, they all added candles (real fire!).
Even DH had a real candle lantern which managed to stay intact after the event! Amazingly none were burnt!
XN's school performance day is finally here. She has been talking about it all the time. Everyone at home went to see her perform.
The most interesting part of the performance was the Indian dance where she got all dressed up in Indian costume. We did not know where she got the costume and she danced really well. We tried to ask her to show us the dance when she was at home but she never wanted to show us much. May be there is no Bollywood music at home, so she cannot get in the mood to dance properly.
All her friends in school also enjoyed the performance too.
DH was also there, may be not so much to enjoy watching the performance but rather the food AFTER the show with grandpa!
