We celebrated DH's 1st birthday in April, it was a buffet party on a Saturday night. Everything was good except that it rained! Therefore instead of a big area to eat and move around, the guests have to be contained in the car porch area where the food was or in the living room at the comfort of TV and sofa. This is the birthday cake, after checking out the different cake shops, I decided to order a traditional full cream butter cake instead, it does not come in cheap though - the price is comparable to the branded cake shops in JB! XN jie jie has so many ideas on what to decorate on the cake, as you can see it becomes a busy cake. She already told me what she wants for her birthday after seeing so many cakes in the cake shop.

I bought a few decorative items to make the party more colorful. BUT it is really a pity that it was raining the effect didn't turn out as good as I would like it to be. The helium gas cartoon character balloons are still the most popular among the kids, many were booked before the end of the party.

We had some good feedback on the food that we ordered. :) Again there were some leftover and we had to tabao back for next morning's breakfast.
